Guys, i'm a little worried about a couple of things my plumbers have done at my new house.....

Mainly the system is in 10mm plastic pipe, i've bought new rads throughout including 2 towel rads.

For the towel rads, as the pipe exits the floorboard i wanted chrome, so the guy used a 10 - 15 mm connector, he didn't remove any of the chrome, just pushed it in, will this be ok?

Also whats the best way to connect 10 mm plastic pipe to a 15 mm TRV or Rad valve, my plumber has been using the reducer that's included in the TRV box, any thoughts.....

Can i use a 10 mm elbow stem with a 15 mm stem on it to connect onto a 15 mm chrome compression elbow?

Thanks in advance.....

No, you cannot use pushfit straight onto chrome pipe. all the manufacturers will tell you that if you download the technical data.

Best way is to use a compression elbow under the floor, you will need to use a reducer as I doubt you will get a Conex 15 x 10 401 off the shelf, worth asking though. PTS<BSS are probably the best outlet.

To answer the second part of the question, I wouldn't except any plastic on show.

Depends on the manufacturer and their literature, there should be mention on/in the box.

I've never tried it, so no personal experiences I'm sorry to say.

But then I wouldn't use plastic to the valve anyway, and I would never use 10mm either not even under the floor.
