I have ripped out the tiles and plasterboard in my bathroom. I have only ripped out halfway the plasterboard on one wall because the area was half tiled.
If I half tile this area can I fit back new plasterboard butted up to the old untiled plasterboard???
Will I need to plaster the joints?
Much help needed

You have a few options:

Fit the new plasterboard then make good the joint by taping and jointing, tile and paint top half.

Fit new plasterboard and if you tile higher so they lap over the joint this will mean you won't have to make good.

If the tiles, adhesive and grout are heavier than the plasterboard can cope with then skim the wall floor to ceiling.

You would need to fit noggins to ensure the 'open' ends of the plasterboard are fixed to a secure surface.
