hello all ... can anyone tell me how many plasterboards i would need for 54.60 sq meters plus 12% for wastage
the boards are 9.5mm x 9.15mm x 1200mm

Your looking at around 60 odd boards. why dnt u use 6x3's

With those figures you will need almost 5000 boards :scratch: :lol:

Surprising where maths comes into pay :roll:

Did you mean 915mm x 1200mm? If so, they're just over 1msq. So about 55-60 boards would do it.

That sounds like handiboard dimensions.

lol sorry ive put the wrong measurements in :lol: :lol: yes i got around 50-60 boards.. its a question in my plastering course exam at college just wanted to make sure
i got it right

So maths wasn't your strong point then :roll:

Its amazing how many kids shun the likes of maths, english and science when at school because they want to do a hands-on profession (I applaud them for doing that type of work :thumbright:) but a few years down the line they realise that they need the knowledge :lol:

cheers, aye was in catering for years,,, then decided to do plastering better money, better hours, better all round really and i really like it :-)

fair do's steve, jus completed my 3rd year at leeds college of building really enjoy plastering too. hard graft but worth the wage

I can imagine catering being a pain in the ar*se but if you moved it on a bit into restaurants (not sure what you class as catering) then the rewards are there. OK, still sh*t hours and on your feet for 12 hrs but there is quality behind it - clearly I'm not talking about being a chef at a Bernie Inn etc.

I only say this as I'm a frustrated chef who fly's a desk all day.

hiya LUFC am on my 2 level plastering .... you must be on your 3 level what kind of stuff you learning??

am doing rendering,plasterboarding ceiling and walls,skimming,dot and dab,
moldings,and screening,ect
