Hello there, i've looked at this forum for a few days now and thought I would post my plans to see if anyone can help me. My partner and I recently bought a home with an attached garage. Its a plain old simple garage approx 5m x 5m, sufficient lighting, a window, electric garage door, concrete flooring etc

What he basically want to do, as my partner spends most of his time in there fixing up his bike and car, is to make it look more like an actual mechanical garage. He will be going away for around a week in December so I am going to arrange for this to be done between family members (joiners etc in the family) however I could really do with some ideas on flooring types etc

What would be the cheapest flooring option, also for shelving etc? As at the moment everything is just stacked up underneath the workbench.

Thanks for your time

Hi Marie and welcome to UHM,

You could have the floor tiled and put up Dexion shelving http://www.dexionstore.co.uk/?gclid=CJL ... 4QodjE81HA

as for storage I made use of the roof space and for the everyday items just some basic shelving
