Friend and I have identical phones hers being black and mine silver and she wants to swap. We are both the same network, Tesco Mobile, and are wondering if it is just a case of swapping phones but keeping sim and sd cards. Also, by doing this would we retain our own phone numbers?

if your phone gets nicked and you report it stolen they may deactivate the other phone :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

R. U. sure she does not just want to access your phone book? such data can be stored on the sim and in the phone memory  Other than the point Big-All raised I often swap my sim from phone to phone, a phone can be locked to a particular provider if it is part of the contract ie free phone deal but you can try this easy enough; the sim is the number provider not the phone but a phone has its own ID.

Thanks for the replies guys. Swapped phones and sims and everything is ok. Wouldn't bother either of us if phones got nicked and I doubt if she wants access to my contacts since we're both mid 70s . Now how do I access her phone book?
