Don't walk those fish too far, the fat one will slim down to a sardine if you do.

Code:
[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WF_KQGVBLf4[/youtube]

will embed the vid, now a bit about the query strings

on a url ? means that the page has a query string on it and it's a way of passing variables from one page to another
so the ? means there are variables

the variable and its values are specified like so v=WF_KQGVBLf4
(where v is the name and anything after the = is the value, in youtubes case v probably means videoidentity)

if there are more than one variable to be passed to another page by this method they would be seperated in the url by an & symbol,

for example your peri peri chicken video url copied from the sidebar in youtube has a url of
Code:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twMKHYnE8eM&feature=related

if you were to embed this like normal

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twMKHYnE8eM&feature=related[/youtube]

it wont work because the embedding will only work with just the v variable and its value....... so in the url you will need to remove every other variable and value apart from the v

does that make more sense??? it did in my head

Mike, as an example of your video,

Hilite and copy your url to your youtube video.

Open a thread and in the reply box, click a place that you want the video to be.
Then just above the reply box are the formatting buttons for things like B i u
Just under them, clcik on the youtube button and it will display in the area that you wanted the video:
[youtube ][/youtube ]
Click inbetween the two formats and paste your url link.
Job done, other than if you are trying to embed a video with other links in the url.
If so, after the numbers and letters code, delete everything from the '&feature' and anything after it.
