Hi,

I'm going to be sorting out a base for a new shed and having a few difficulties with amounts of materials that I'll need.

The area I need to cover is 2.7m x 4m which I've worked out as 10.8m2. From what I've seen I need a 30/40mm deep base made up of 9 part sharp sand and 1 part 10mm to dust aggregate. On top of that would be a sand/dry cement mix to then place the paving slabs on.

What I can't work out is the amount of each material that I'll need to fill the 10.8m2. If anyone could help or has any better suggestions than the method I'm planning it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
