i only worked on it afternoons and weekends, i'm part time and finish at 12, so including lifting the old slabs and digging out the lawn round the side and that was hard as i had to dig deep enough to get a foundation, maybe about a month with help from the wife and its only the third time i've laid one hope it's the last

just used 3 to 1 mortar mix soft wash sand it's indian sandstone 40square metres at a cost of about £800 there about

in response to some other posts.. patios should always be laid on a full bed (Dry or wet)

dabbed will fail sooner rather than later.. :shock:
