Im about to lay a patio by screeding a dry mix and then paving it.
It occured to me though that wont this effect the drainage of water after a big down pour or is the land flat enough that its not a problem?
The land is really very -clay-y and there is standing water on this area of the garden when there has been a down pour, so wont this be problematic if I lay a patio on the area, or will the grass above it just soak up the water and retain it.
Thanks |

I can't see what you propose to do will cause any problems at all.
I did a similar thing a few years back and it has been fine. |

Ok cool.
Looking at the entire garden its not really that big an area so it should effect drainage too much. |

Laying a patio on an area that big would be fine I would imagine. Looks like there is plenty of places for the rain to soak away _________________ DIY | DIY Video |
