Hi all, my problem is with my rear patio which covers the whole garden. Its a terraced property, with brick wall both sides and a garage to the rear. The problem is that my patio is a good 24" higher than the property to the left, and probably 30" higher than that on the right. When it rains, the water is finding its way between the slabs, and under the patio, it then finds its way into next doors (on the right) garage. There, it has found its way through the concrete floor, and back up??? In doing this I am also assuming it will have washed away at least some of the support material from under the patio. Is there a solution to this other than relaying my patio with more adequate drainage? Also, where do I stand legally? I'm guessing I am liable for the damage next door is experiencing.
Hope someone can help, Matt

Hi Matt,

I think you know what you need to do! And yes, you would be liable to damage caused to adjoining properties due to your lack of drainage provision.

Sorry!
