I recently replaced all of the door facings in our landing and painted them with Crown Fastflow satin.

The time has now come to hang lining paper in the landing before painting with emulsion. When painting the door facings some of the fastflow went onto the walls as I didn't need to cut in the woodwork - the walls had been stripped of paper and are bare plaster.

Will I have any issues with the lining paper not sticking to the wall properly along the edge of the facings if there is paint from the facings on the wall? The surface of the paint is very smooth and not sure if giving this a light key before hanging the paper will help? :dunno:

Thanks guys

You have two options, a light sand of the surface, just enough to take the sheen level away. Also overlap adhesive will work.
