couple of questions,
im currently working on a house that was built in oct o7 in the front room/dinner all the walls are getting painted apart from two, which are to be papered,
1) will it be a good idea to size the walls first? cos it wont be the best quaitly paint will it?
2) im hanging 'arthouse' vintage paper, has any one had any experince with it? any tips? i seem to remember some one saying it can be a cow to hang.
on a side issue has any one used gun wash to clean out there oil based brushs?

Yeh..gun cleaner, used to be made by machpersons I think..its good stuff to leave your brushes soaking in..but it stinks.

i got 5l for £7, really really flummable, gave it a try the other day, but yeah it stinks, i can smell it through the shed door.
good for harded emuslion brushs, must work like a paint stripper as well, i put some in a old kettle and its peeled teh gloss of like nitromores.

its been a really nice job, no ceiling to do, as the women doesnt see the point of painting them as they not look they need doing, on the two walls ive been papering one went on spot on.
the over lap on the other one pulled the emuslion of the ceiling, it didnt matter how long it was on it, its pulled it off. so il end up havingn having to do the ceilings!
the only problem ive been having with arthouse papaer is the edges not sticking down even with loads of paste on.

Hi feva, nice to see your still around, and works going okay. 
I was going to suggest you add a bit of PVA into the paste, or even neat for the edges, but my lips are sealed.
