Likely cause condensation caused by poor ventiation of the property. Are your windows oftern steamed up?

Definately sounds like condensation

What sort of windows do you have?
Is the loft insulated?
Does the mould grow on one particular wall / in one particular room or all over?
Have you got cavity wall insulation?

Windows are double glazed all through and loft insulated there is no mould at all just dirty marks as soon as heating is switched on in autumn. These marks are worse around radiators and corners of ceilings.

Which suggests air flow. Have you got any pictures?

Sounds like mould to me mate, if they are however just dirty marks seeping through use o/b undercoat or a stainblocker on it.

you can clean it with a 50/50 bleach water solution, leave for 10-15 minutes and then dry off completely, then you need to make sure there is adequate ventilation to keep any moisture from condensing
