I gave the new series another try last night after being very underwhelmed by the first episode in the new series. The previous series have been quite good with a bit of action and heroics but it remained a tad amateurish although quite enjoyable.

The latest series sees the hero (Michelle Keegan) deployed to Nepal to help with humanitarian aid (little chance of anyone being shot). Quite frankly the story line is very boring and poorly written and the characters are extremely unconvincing. I like to think that the British Army is very professional in real life but this motley crew over banter everything and have no respect for the chain of command. An over mix of ethnic actor placements in true BBC fashion grates as usual. There is a particularly annoying gnat of an actor who has a major role called Maisie. She ignores all orders, cheeks all and is clearly being teed up to save everyone. There is no evidence of a Sergeant getting them in line and making it all work as it would in reality.

The most laughable part is when the earthquake tremors happen it is clearly the cameraman shaking the camera, it is pathetic.

We had enough and switched it off and deleted the Sky plus link. I cannot stand any more.

Anyone seen it?

Agree with you on the camera shaking! The wife watches it recorded while I surf UHM.

I might reprieve it as I saw a trailer for next week and they seem to be back in action again in a war zone. It might get back on track and the annoying gnat will ignore the order to take cover and will be slotted.
