Lot of people like firefox I know, but I bought a Samsung NC10 Netbook a few days ago and decided to install Opera instead, as it is meant to be good for slower connections (going to use the netbook over a GPRS mobile connection as well as normal Broadband).

So far, experiences are good and it has some neat features.

Also, I think someone tried that on-speed data compression app? any good. tempted for when on GPRS but no demo available to see if it really works.

There is also Chrome from google that you could try.

So far with Opera, it just seems to work the way I expect - kinda of natural.
Never really got that with Firefox - had to think where things were, but with Opera, it just seems to 'fit'

I like Opera.....It just doesnt play nice with some sites I use (or rather they have crap coding) mainly banks ::b ::b ::b

Some options opera has I like a lot, other things like its feed checker didnt work well when I last tried it (9.25) slowed to a crawl when Opera first opened due to it checking feeds :cussing: :cussing:

Chrome is ok, I dont think its good enough though to convince me to change my main browser from firefox.

@ UHM : have you done a scandisk or a spyware check recently? sounds like either a bad file or bad plugin.
