The weather in Bejing where they are doing the canoeing is very cold, and one of the competitors thought it would be a good idea to put an small heater in the bottom of the canoe to help him keep warm.
Unfortunately, the bottom, just being made out of ply, caught fire and it sunk :shock:






Just goes to show ... "You can't have your Kayak and heat it" :lol:

I first heard that joke in the 1960s, on a panel game featuring the late Kenneth Williams. Still a good one though.
