Hello there plastering forum!
Am currently putting in new bathroom. Place was a bit of a mess. Have taken off old skirting boards successfully on 2 walls, but on one of them, some of the old wall has come off too, exposing the brick behind. The original plaster me thinks. Whats the best way of filling this new gap in? Should I use pva on the wall before I put any filler in? Type of filler to use (was a wide array in B&Q earlier)?
Your advice on this would be appreciated!

Ta very much!

Bonding plaster, thistle undercoat plaster or harwall. PVA first, then get a good coat on but dont be fussy. Leave it half and hour and it will stiffen so you can flatten it out. If it still isn't right, apply a second coat after about an hour.
