Howdy!

Went back to some old posts to add some progress updates, pictures, etc but realised they were all locked. I'm such a slow worker, this might happen alot. Whats the best practise here....save a project until it's done then post or can they be unlocked?

Work means I'm all over and I work on different things at the same time, so no steady stream of updates....what to do, what to do!

I have had similar problems where have asked a question, nobody replies or knows the answer. Eventually find out or work something out myself, go back to update the post and find also locked out.

another option is to say an update to this post
old-posts-t48527.html
then explain the additional information
but yes just ask and we can unlock as scruff says :thumbright:

We have to lock the posts or else you get newbies replying to threads that are 5 years old instead of starting a new post lol

As said above, just PM Admin or one of the Mods and they will unlock an individual thread and leave it unlocked for you to answer in you own time over a period of weeks.
Just one unlocked thread is usually not found by a spammer or a new member who is looking for old threads to post replies to.
They are locked normally on the basis of being over one month since the last post in them.

Sound as a pound, ta :thumbleft:

When it's plastered on Thursday, I'll knock some pics together and then ask for an unlock.

I thought about this "this is an update to XXXX" but it's only a one way link.....the old post doesn't have a "updated here" bit.

Right...expenses to sort, REALLY can't put it off anymore.....
