I have been working on these for the past couple of weeks and have almost completed them. I have to add handles and a set of runners for the drawer.
This is a CD unit that will have the CD player stood on top.

This unit is for a hall and will house shoes, keys and a battery for a golf trolley.

And finally a large free standing book case in the same style.

I like them.
Is it all solid, or some oak veneered aswell?

What handles, nice 'iron' ones i think would look good?

They look nice Mailee. You are starting to get the hang of it lol.

I am doing a big coat cupboard with bottom drawer at the moment, when time allows. only taken 2 months so far. I reckon another 3 or 4 weeks and I will have had spare time to finish it. Wish I had a poxy workshop lol.

Thanks guys. Yes a workshop does help Royal oak. Mind you then there is the rent to pay along with all the other bills. They are going to have stainless bar handles Hitch. Not all of them are solid Oak, the shelves and uprights are veneered MDF but all the rest is solid. I don't like to use solid wood throughout due to movement in a centrally heated home. I would like to see the cupboard when it is finished Royal Oak. I don't know if it's just me but I like making things with drawers in...glutton for punishment I suppose.

I like making things full stop, but rarely get the call to do it. I used wooden runners for the drawer cos that is how my grandad would have done it! My punishment was making it on saw horses and the floor as a bench.

Will whack pics on in a few weeks. Only got to do 2 top coats and it is complete.

Totally agree with you about the mixture of materials. Makes for a far more stable piece.

Yes Dave I do, cabinet making is my business. I am actully working on a bathroom vanity at the moment. This one is two seperate cabinets set at each side of a basin. (Customer insisted he wanted seperate ones. These are made in MRMDF with a gloss white finish. Just thought I would also post the oak units now they are finished before delivering them this weekend.

I got the units delivered today. It took some work carrying them up two flights of stairs. My friend is taller than I so he went first. Here are the shots of them in place.

This one is the CD unit in the living room.
