I have a water cylinder that my boiler will heat up for both central heating and hot water. Other day the hot water only comes out for 1 min boiling hot then runs slight warm then very cool. This is upstairs, downstairs it's freezing.
Someone told me the cylinder thermostat would need replaced. I bought exact same one but still nothing. Phoned so many people and all busy and I need hot water! Any ideas what so ever?

No. and it's an unusual fault.

Has any work been done on the hot or cold water prior to the problem.

Makes and models cylinder and boiler please. plus anything relevant.

Not so sure about the programmer but the OP could be describing a thermal store maybe with gledhill all over the case.

I'm off first thing so I'll leave it to you lot.

Ps I shall be very close to northampton at some time, picking up from didcot then heading for the m1 possibly.

No work done since last year, have had problems on the past with cylinder thermostat which I replaced at time and worked again. The water is starting to heat and sounds like on but something then sending signal to turn off boiler. Won't let me send pics on here of cylinder as says too many pixels......
Cylinder sounds on but only runs hot for 1 minute

In Windows:

Start

All programmes

Accessories

Paint

Open - the picture

Resize - I can't remember the exact size allowed, I think it needs to be less than 1200 pixels wide. I can post pics that in 4X3 format are 1024 X 768.
