| I have just bought a Makita 8390 DWEP3 18V drill/driver (2 speed setting) but when I set the speed to "1 Low" which is supposed to be 0~350rpm and then check the no load speed at "2 High" which is supposed to be 0~1200rpm, there is no difference in the sound therefore I guess there's no difference in speed. Is this faulty? Has anyone had the same problem? |

Are you sure the speed selector has moved properly, they can hover around the middle sometimes not fully engaged in the different gear. Hold onto the chuck on the two speeds, you should feel the difference. _________________ Stella Stella Stella oy oy oy |

Can you see a speed difference?
The sound from the motor will be virtually the same, as that spins at a set rpm no matter which gear it is in (without load) _________________ Why isn't the number 11 pronounced onety one? |
