Hey all.
I'm Steve and have decided to register(at last) to the forum. I have found the main site really useful over the years and I think it has saved me a few bob, well quite a few bob to be honest and loads of time. I'm not very practical but like to give things a go... I have really appreciated the help and guidance you have given others in the past which has helped ...

Good Evening All
I came across your forum when madly googling for any solutions to our conservatory leak! Neither of us are very good at DIY but we do try to keep the cost of house maintenance down.
I will endeavour to describe our problem in the appropriate forum, thanks for letting me/us join and hope we can learn something!

Hello everyone :)

I'm Carl from Somerset! I am a complete DIY noob, but I'm doing my best to learn! My partner and I bought a house 6 months ago and have been trying to learn how to do things as we go. It's been a steep learning curve but very satisfying being able to do little bits myself.

Been reading on the forum and decided to sign up and say hi! I'm sure I'll ...

Hi

my name is James from Manchester.

I am a control systems engineer by trade. The biggest DIY project I have done to date is converting my garage into a fully functional gym.

Stud wall blocking garage door and, heater to central heating unit, installing spot lights, sockets and plasterboard etc..

I am considering moving onto the garden starting a self build Garden project.

Hope to contribute where I can and receive advice also

Cheers ...

Hi everyone.

I'm Mark from Manchester UK.

Engineer by trade (toolmaker, currently in the rail industry)

Love a bit of Diy, although my wife pulls a face when I 'need' that new drill or piece of kit. I'm sure we are all in a similar boat.

Hope to maybe help others as well as learn some new tips etc myself.

Speak soon.

Mark
