Hey people,

Well I'm in customer service, mid thirties and looking for a career change. I have applied for numerous apprenticeships but it seems nobody wants to hire an 30 something ex- soldier as an apprentice. I kinda get that but it sucks.On that note, I've been looking at those 'two week intensive tiling/plastering/electrical' courses.
Ideally I'd like a trade, or maybe become an all-round handyman. But my eventual goal is to become self-employed.

I a techie guy, and not so good at the DIY stuff. But to be fair I have overcome some tasks when i decide to go for and properly set at it.

Afternoon all

New to the forum recent owner of first home with the other half and have a few projects and improvements planned, will help where needed and ask where necessary!

I work in home audio custom install sales for an audio/speaker manufacturer so also happy to help anybody with any audio needs and advice!

I am just saying hello to all and wanted to let you all know, I am impressed by the comprehensive coverage of principals covered by this site and considered responses to enquiries.
My recent back ground was medical diagnostics, this cover all principles within the chemistry analysers.
It did not make me master of any of them though gave me a reasonable appreciation of most.
