Post subject: ford transit 2013 - rear door not closing fully

Hi

My van has a problem with the either of the two rear doors not closing parallel to the floor.

It does close and lock but doesn't close parallel to the floor
What is likely the problem?
Could it potentially unhook itself when driving

Car is overheating very quickly, when I take my foot off the gas cold air blows through the heater , while driving it’s hot, radiator resovouir bubbles/ gulps and hisses , engine gets very hot . Not losing water but it is obviously evaporating with the heat .

Post subject: Ford transit 2013 suspension arm back bush unbonding
PostPosted: Sun Sep 30, 2018 11:52 am
I made the mistake of getting talked into buying a van on the day I test driven it without thinking it through.
What makes it even more stupid is I had plenty of time to check it's mot history b4 the test drive.

The advisory said:
"nearside front suspension arm back bush starting to unbond"

Considering I'm alittle bit mechicanically minded.
1)built a 3d printer that works
2)work on my own bike when it doesn't ...

Post subject: Engine Management Light On
PostPosted: Thu Sep 27, 2018 4:00 pm
I've just changed the oil and filters on my 2011 Peugeot partner van. The van drives great but the engine management light is on. Is there an easy way to turn it off or will I need to get my mate to use his diagnostic gizmo to turn it off?

I'm guessing as I changed the fuel filter it probably thinks the filter is faulty or has water in it.

I've just bought a Volkswagen Polo which is a over 10 years old. You could say I have a real need for speed!

Anyway, I've had it for a few weeks and the gear box keeps popping our of gear! It's happened a couple of times in short succession, once going from stationary onto a road, once doing about 30 and putting it into 4th, and ...

Post subject: Peugeot 207 2012 not fixable by garage
PostPosted: Wed Sep 05, 2018 7:03 pm
Hi All,

My sons car has been in a garage for about 8 weeks after a fault where the engine would either not start or would cut out and die.

Initial diagnosis was a sensor/indicator which cost £185 to fix. The car subsequently died the next day.
The next fix was the whole exhaust system as the garage said it was fully blocked, that cost £800. Again the car died soon after whilst the garage ...

Post subject: Modern car and towing a caravan.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 21, 2018 11:41 am
There has been a change with the car’s charging system, it is now controlled by the engine management so the voltage is no longer maintained at 13.8 to 14.2 volt, so a relay which switches on at 13.4 volt to connect caravan to car will no longer work.

The basic idea was:-
1) To stop current flowing from caravan to car, it would only flow from car to caravan.
2) To power Fridge or Anti-snake ...
