Has anyone got one of these?

My old drill has just clapped out on me so I have an excuse to switch over to SDS Plus. I'm not sure whether to splash out on this one or go for something cheap and cheerful.

These are just about as good quality as any bosch, dewalt or milwaukee tool. The ...

PostPosted: Wed Jan 19, 2011 10:59 pm
Anyone know much about how these batteries work. Reason is got a new 18v dewalt xrp drill with Liion battery because I was pleased with the 12v NiCd xrp drilll I have had for last 3 years. Problem is when drilling some 1/2" holes in 2" pine the battery pack shut down and had to put it on recharge to reset. That was only 10 holes with a new bit. This has happened on every ...

Screwfix Ryobi 8pc Kit £199
For anyone looking for a good selection of power tools, this don't look too bad.

Quote:
CHI1802P Combi Drill,
CCC1801M Corner Sander,
CRA180M Radio,
CJS180LM One+ Jigsaw,
CCS1801LM Circular Saw,
BFG1218 Battery Tester,
CRO180M Random Orbit Sander,
CDC181M Drill Driver.
2 x batteries.

Not sure i'd class the batter tester as one of the 8 pieces, bit cheeky.

It doesn't say what capacity the batteries are either.

Anyone know ...

 Post subject: drill bits
PostPosted: Wed Jan 19, 2011 3:58 pm
I have been using a 6mm bit to drill pilot holes when using 8mm screws. As they kept breaking, I looked for a bit that might be stronger and decided to try a brad point. PostPosted: Mon Jan 17, 2011 8:05 am
I am thinking about getting a Bosch GKS190 circular but I noticed that it doesn't have a riving knife. I'm not a professional and was wondering if it made its use any more hazardous in practice?
