 Post subject: Replacement large slotted screwdriver

I have had several Stanley large red plastic handled slotted screwdrivers over the years. The big one in your toolbox which you use for anything manly, the screwdriver you can actually get a good width across any damaged screw you need to hacksaw a new slot into.

Unfortunately have lost my last one, at a quick glance it seems they are not available anymore.

Not exactly sure of the dimensions but am i looking at ...

The first photo shows how it was. The second photo shows the modifications, based on your comments here.
The blade cover encourages me to keep my fingers away from the blade.
Any pressure on the top of the blade cover switches the saw off.
I was thinking here of having a funny turn and falling onto the machine.
More useful than a big red OFF button, ...

Hi all, long time lurker, just taken the plunge to sign up!

Homebase are doing the Dremel 300 tool w/ the pouch and 30 bits for £39.99 which is cheaper than other places even the eBay, so I got one yesterday :thumbright: Used it for removing surface grime from some ally parts, made for the job(and several thousand others lol) should have got one sooner ...

Hey all, hoping someone can point me in the right direction :-)

I have a couple of doors that need a few cm taking off the bottom, and from what I can tell a planer is in order

what is the best to go for considering I'll only be using it once in awhile, was thinking a block planer hand one like this:

Well that makes a change,I lent my mate my 6mm hex socket to do his brake discs and he brought it back broken,as it was part of a set from the Halfords professional range which carries a lifetime warranty I took back to Halfords without a receipt and they replaced it no questions asked

22 quid! I have seen many of these from mid range to high range between £50 to £150 I would say this is probably not as good as a £150 or £200 Dewalt or Makita however it is better than the Stanley ...
