Post subject: Complete DIY tool list?
PostPosted: Wed Jun 16, 2010 3:22 pm
Hi,

So I've recently bought a first home and have started on my first baby steps of DIY. Nothing too difficult but I have gone from literally banging in nails and putting photo's up, to cutting down blinds to size, drilling and attaching to window frames (probably also not difficult to most, but a challenge for me!)

Anyway, so now I am wanting to move on to more and more jobs around the house and ...

Hi.
I found this site while searching for a tool that I would like to buy my Husband for Father's Day.
I want to buy him a Fein Multimaster, and probably the Top one, so that it has a lot of bits.
Does anyone know the best deal for this tool? Plus is this "240v" thing the normal one... just plug in and go type thing, or should I be looking at something other voltage? ...

I am looking at the stanley fatmax but is it like all the old companys and they have gone down the slippery slope and had these made in china. ...

Hi. Been loaned the above. Is there anyway to alter the depth of cut, so I can do half lap joints? Don't have the instructions, the owner is abroad! Thanks

 Post subject: Panasonic anyone?
PostPosted: Sat Jun 12, 2010 4:13 pm
I just bought new Panasonic kit. A 14.4v drill, driver, torch and two Li-ion 3Ah batteries.
This stuff is the best I've ever used, really tiny and very powerful. I'm well impressed although a can only compare to DeWalt (never used Makita, etc. )
The driver is a new experience for me and is awesome for driving heavy screws. I can't believe I hadn't discovered these before. It even takes takes the nuts off my ...
