I see the chancellor (in his infinite wisdom) left alcohol duty alone. Now they're on about introducing minimum pricing, which will undoubtedly see an increase in prices at the local. The excuse is this so called "Binge Drinking Culture" As I see it, us social drinkers who cause no trouble are going to pay a hefty price, for the minority of people who go out hell bent on getting drunk, having a fight, causing mayhem ...

if you are paying 50% off 1mill thats £500.000

reduce your tax by 5% thats an increase off £50.000

so basicly the better off in society are getting an increase in money greater than the average wage
