Post subject: Why are tools stolen?
PostPosted: Fri Aug 24, 2018 6:05 pm
Well a rant! lol

Why are tools stolen?

Oh yes so that imbeciles can sell them to those who do not give a stuff about the man who NEEDS them to earn for his family.

WHY with the current tech is this still allowed?

Oh yes so that companies can sell more tools!

It is a simple problem to solve and the first firm which does incorporate it will dominate the market.

Stick a bloody ...

Post subject: Little important parts coloured black
PostPosted: Wed Aug 01, 2018 10:14 am
It has always annoyed me that so many tool manufacturers make all the little 'easily lose-able and important to see' parts black. A very few do make them all (say) bright orange or similar, so they're easy to spot and easy to realise what they are, but not many bother. I suppose they worry more about the brochure pictures than customers having to use the things. Last night may take the biscuit for me, though.. ...

This year seems far worse than any I can remember for being pestered by those crawling, stinging, and generally annoying little buggers.

Was fighting off wasps, bees, wood wasps, midges, clegs and thunder flies (the worst) all in ONE DAY!!

:wtf: is going on this year? :angryfire:

In the grumpy corner as I am so very pi$$ed off at myself! ::b

Made 4 doors (well half doors, two per opening) for a client....and made them, each, 3mm too small in the width!
So each double door set has a central gap of 8mm instead of 2mm! ffs :cb

Fitted them and just looked at them ...

 Post subject: Impossible pills
PostPosted: Wed Jun 06, 2018 11:04 pm
Doc has given me some pills to take, (one pill three times per day).

Reading the destructions it says:- " .....should not be taken within one hour before, or two hours after drinking tea, coffee or milk...."

Bearing in mind that I drink tea almost constantly through the day before switching to coffee in the evenings I'm not really sure when I'm going to take them.

I can't wait an hour before a tea in ...

Are the people of this country f****g stupid or what?

Watching QuestionTime I'm aghast at the response from the audience over the so-called Russian-supported gassing in Syria.

We seem to have a public that is happy to poke the Russian bear (a Nuclear armed global power, no less) on the basis of an already-discredited social media video purporting to show Assad gassing his public...... :angryfire: ...

A rant. not worthy of Kellys eye buuuttt....

Right, so yesterday I needed some Chicken stock.. I make my own every 3 months or so and freeze it in ice-cube bags. I'd run out.

Sooo went to supermarket and not wishing to buy stock cubes (which are mostly salt) settled on a pack of four "Stock pots".

I didn't have my reading glasses with me, so couldn't read all the ingredients... but as there was ...

 Post subject: New build property

Are new builds worth it they are like wagonwheels ... s-11323783
They don't seem to hold their value if you buy from new ones round me which are 10 years old are still not back upto the sale price
They only have a 10 year warranty not much longer than a Kia
The workmanship/quality isn't that good and they pennypinch on materials
