Just a reminder the the Decorative Arts Weekend is fast approaching (10th/11th of March)

This promises to be a fantastic event where you can watch decorative artists from the UK and beyond do their stuff...or even take part yourself. There are various demonstrations of Marbling, Graining Trompe etc going on over the course of the weekend in an informal friendly atmosphere

The move follows an initial recall of select Rothenberger and Super Ego brand Map/Pro cylinders in Australia. However, concern has been stepped up due to the danger the cylinders could pose to the public, and manufacturer Worthington Cylinders has decided to issue a global notice, recalling all Map/Pro cylinders sold before January 15, 2012.

 Post subject: More Alt + codes

I have discovered some more Alt codes whereby holding down the Alt key and typing a number in will produce symbols.
Some of these may be of use to members when doing quotes or adding text to drawings.

These will only work when entered using a number keypad (to the right on your keyboard) with the Numbers Lock ON.
They will NOT work with the number keys above the letters on a keyboard.

so far racked up £20 on stuff I was going to buy anyway. they also have lists of discount codes for each merchant page.

Since I've done the course recently and been surprised by just how much is now covered by In Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment, to give PAT Testing its new name, I'm writing this post to show just how much even in the average office is now liable for testing.

Get a decent sized brush and I would make that 2" plus. Make it a synthetic one.
Dip the brush 2" into the paint and don't scrape it off the side of the paint kettle (don't work from the pot), tap off the excess.
Pretend you are using your hand to be a glove puper and make a duck...quack quack ...

Thought this thread would be good for both the pros and the customers!!

My tips

Always allow for sheeting up cleaning up at both ends of the day! Forgetting this you can easily lose half a day /days money.
You are not superman quote realistically!! We have all done it :angryfire:
Use provisonal sums in your quote and cover your arse.
Price for actually picking up gear, ...
