Hi,
I don't want to rush things and get it all wrong, but once I have coated my bathroom with bonding plaster, how much time will I need before this is dry enough to tile ?
Bathroom, does not have any windows in it.
Rgds
Paul

Hi - I'm about to grout a kitchen floor made of natural slate. I've sealed it twice and have flexable grout as everyone recommends. When I grouted the bathroom (same tiles) I made a bit of a mess with them and my wife had to clean them before we finally sealed everything
Would sticking masking tape of the edges of the tiles to stop the grout ...

Post subject: Clouding on Glazing Posted: Thu Jul 12, 2007 11:30 am |

Hi
I have clouding around the panes of glass in my wooden patio doors as shown in the attached photo. I cannot remove the clouding - it seems to be inside the glass. I have noticed in places what resemble "woodworm" tunnels inside the edges of the glass. It's been like this for a long time now, but I seem to remember it started after I re-puttied the glazing. Does anyone know what this is? ...

Post subject: Stuck Street Tap Posted: Thu Jul 12, 2007 9:53 am |

Following earlier advice on stopcock keys I tried to shut off the water to the house by turning the square bar under the small street cover. I can move it about 10 degrees quite easily but then it goes solid either way with no effect on the water (assuming I have the right tap!) I spent some time just working it back and forth but didn't get anywhere. I'm reluctant to put a lot force ...

Hi All, I am a wood turner and wood worker and I also keep koi carp.
I am retired so lots of time for the things I could not do when working.
Higly recommended.

Post subject: spur cable routing advice please Posted: Wed Jul 11, 2007 4:03 pm |

Hi new member here after a bit of advice.
I am aware that the work I am proposing is notifiable under part p but i just want to check out the regs regarding the cable routing for a new spur for a single socket to take a new cooker hood (plug protected by 5amp fuse). The question is can I route the cable from an existing twin socket (ring) vertically for approx 1m then horizontally ...

Just got them from Screwfix, very good quality, never had anything Wera before. I was hoping they'd be good at £19.99.

Post subject: Removing Stud Partition Wall Posted: Wed Jul 11, 2007 3:33 pm |

Hi, breaking my cherry here with my first post
have looked at the guides which seem great for making up a stud partition but not for removing them.
I live in a brand new 'corner' filler semi, hence the house is effectively in 2 halves, at 45 degrees to each other. The result is a couple of interestingly shaped rooms. Which we like.
My 'lads lounge' ...

Can anyone recommend a decent heavy duty tool bag? Need it to fit a long spirit level in so has to be about 700mm long. I found some long enough but they all look pretty cheap and probably wouldn't last that long!
cheers
