got one of the pelmets up (finally) and just about to start on the cornicing, and now we're not sure on the look of whether or not it looks 'right' or not
I've got a picture of a wall unit very similar to ours (not exactly the same btw), wearing both the pelmet and cornicing which looks exactly the same in style as ours, and wanted ...

Hi All
Sorry if this isn't in the correct section, I wasn't sure if I should put it here in the metal forum.
I have had some large stainless steel sheet cut to fit inside an old chimmney breast in my kitchen. It is going to have a range cooker infront of it.
I was wondering if there is a good product to use to attached the stainless steel to a newly plastered wall. I'm ...

Has anyone used this company Savoy timber and diy. I am re decorating my kitchen and replacing worktops. My current worktops are 30mm and it would be far easier to replace with 30mm. This is the best prices i have found online for 30mm tops. They were very prompt sending samples, but has anyone ordered from them? Also What is the best method for cutting. I have a jigsaw for doing the hob and sink. ...

Hi,
We are about to embark on installing our first kitchen in our first house and wanted to know how hard it is actually to fit a kitchen?
We are going to give it a good go at putting the units together ourselves as we are on a pretty tight budget due to some unforseen work that needed to be done on the house. However we ...

Hi, I am in the process of doing a kitchen refit. All going ok so far but just found my first serious headache. The problem is that I have L shaped corner units which require the room to be square I guess. Problem is that my room is running out from the corner to the tune of 125mm over 3m making the angle greater than 90 degrees.
My plasterer says that he can dot and ...

Post subject: Removing Salice "rapido" fixing from concealed hinge Posted: Mon May 07, 2012 3:57 pm |

Hello and this is my first post, so I apologise if this is a really silly question. I would be grateful for any advice on how best to remove a Salice Rapido fixing currently holding a 165 degree cabinet hinge. The hinge itself needs replacing, but I am having difficulty extracting the "rapido" fixing without damaging the door (laminate). The Philips loosens it a bit, but not entirely, so I am not sure if there ...

Just had kitchen re-done. Essentially we had to re do it be because the layout wasn't really working for us. So after 2 years in we decided to get it done. We'd collected the appliance beforehand and then got a joiner to fit them all for us. However I'm having issues with the electric oven. Its a fitted unit with 2 ovens and the top one also works as a grill. The appears to work ...
