 Post subject: DW717XPS Dust Port
PostPosted: Fri Dec 08, 2017 7:20 pm
Trying to connect the dust port of my saw to my Henry Hoover. I know its not a perfect solutionbut its early days.

Stuck at the first hurdle. The saw port seems to measure OD 39mm and ID 36mm.

Any one solved how to take that to a vacum - Henry is OD 32mm and ID 28mm

Any other suggestions

Thank you

Post subject: I cant tell which is the better drill
PostPosted: Wed Sep 20, 2017 4:34 pm
I have been on the Dewalt website and there are many 18 volt drills. Now I'm not a tradesman so I dont know all my stuff so can anyone tell me what the differences are between the drills?
You have 1x 9 volt and 3 with 5ah wahtever that is and two other 18v. Are they just serial numbers of older models and any 18 volt will do or is there new tech on some? ...

Hello...i have just bought the above 54v flexvolt strimmer/brushcutter.
The problem is,when you go to put the brushcutter blade on,the bolt on the machine is too short by about half an inch, leaving you no room for the final nut.
No one seems to know about this.
Can anyone help?

Guys.... I need your help.

I'm a carpenter by trade, and am looking to buy my own laser level after relying on my workmates DW088K for some time.
Here lies my dilemma, the DW088K is widely recognised as the best laser on the market currently, and is my first choice when looking to buy a laser.
However I would much prefer DW088CG version of the same laser, which has the green beam instead of the ...

Post subject: DWS520K plunge saw - best blade for cutting high gloss units
PostPosted: Mon Mar 20, 2017 2:38 pm
Hi. Looking for advice on the best blade for cutting high gloss (graphite grey) kitchen doors. I need to mitre a 'J shaped' corner post for some handleless doors. At the moment I'm getting some very fine micro chipping on the cut line (its a fine white line - which I assume is the primer). I'm using the standard (48T) blade supplied with the DWS520K. Is there a better one I could use or am ...

 Post subject: DeWalt DW8001 RAS.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 12, 2016 5:00 pm

Bron and I set off to Hull at 7 o'clock this morning; we were calling in on our best friends David & Jennifer in Cottingham; Bron would remain with Jennifer whilst David and I headed to Beverley to collect a very nice DeWalt DW8001 radial arm saw.

As usual my constant companion Blackie accompanied us putting down plenty of rain making for a miserable outward journey but we were in the comfort of our ...
