Post subject: Intergas installers in E10?
PostPosted: Tue Apr 09, 2019 1:03 pm
Can anyone send me a message with some recommended Intergas installers who might work in E10. I saw a post on here a year ago with Razor and 3bedhouse! discussing but followed advice to start a new post.
Thanks

 Post subject: Leaking valve
PostPosted: Sun Apr 07, 2019 1:09 pm
My boiler suddenly has a leaking valve.

I noticed a small puddle on my worktop and couldn't figure where the water was coming from until I saw a droplet form on the heat flow valve.

Does anyone know how to remedy this?

Post subject: Nest Controller with an Ideal FF250 Boiler
PostPosted: Sun Apr 07, 2019 9:05 am
Current System:

Ideal FF250 Boiler
Lifestyle LP522 Controller
Hot water storage tank
Room Thermostat
TRVs

I'm looking to improve my system by adding a Nest controller, but I'm not sure if it's compatible? The improvements I expect from adding a Nest are:

More accurate programs - i.e. more than 4 on/off triggers per day, and different programs per day
Separate control of hot water, particularly in summer when the heating isn't on
Ability to override ...

Post subject: Testing GlowWorm 30CXi DIVERTER MOTOR
PostPosted: Sun Mar 31, 2019 1:10 pm
Having problems with my hot water. Symptoms are like a blocked P2P exchanger, but more severe - and happened more suddenly. (Hot water would run cold after 5 minutes, and F14 would come on - with CH flow pipe getting very hot suddenly.)

Removed diverter motor (but can't actually remove it fully away from the boiler as the pressure sensor is in the way - I really want to find the 'designer' and commit a ...

Post subject: New Sealed System - Thermostat question(s)
PostPosted: Thu Mar 28, 2019 11:16 am
Hi All,

We're in the process of an extension right now and are having a brand new sealed system bolier/cylinder/central heating system installed as part of the work

I'm looking for a smart thermostat for the system and was leaning towards Tado, but the builder raised the issue that there is no Cylinder Thermostat option that they offer.

Now, looking around, it seems there are no smart systems that offer a cylinder thermostat, so just ...

£350 for a fan , £500 for a rapid pcb. Just read this on a fb group. He asks whether it’s worth fixing them when outside warranty.

I know this is a pro intergas site. Wondering what you intergas fans think

Must admit that’s more expensive than viessman spares, quite shocking tbh when it’s only a small number of fan manufacturers make fans for all

PostPosted: Sun Mar 24, 2019 12:57 am
Hi people.

I've just moved in to a rental and the boiler pressure is too high (2.5 bar normal and 3.5 when heating on).

I've tried to bleed the radiators but hasn't really helped matters.

I got in touch with the letting agency and they just said the landlord assures them that the boiler passed the safety checks.

I'm a total novice and I don't know what I'm doing here but I don't dare put ...

Post subject: Do radiator top grills and side panels reduce heat output?
PostPosted: Sat Mar 23, 2019 11:02 am
Hi plumbers, heating engineers and diyers alike

I've been reading the very mixed opinions out there regarding actual radiator covers, so I won't get into that! Suffice to say it's a heated debate... I'll get my coat?

Anyhow, what I can't find info on is the top grills and side panels you often see on rads; you know, the ones that look like they're part of the rad. Do the help, hinder or make little ...
