Post subject: Worcester Bosch heating staying on, faulty thermostat?
PostPosted: Fri Oct 20, 2017 7:01 pm
After attempting to turn the heating back on after the summer I noticed the batteries had gone dead in thermostat (MT10RF mechanical thermostat) I've replaced the batteries and synced it back up with the boiler (Worcester Bosch Greenstar)

The boiler recognises the thermostat and turns on but it won't turn off or take any notice of the heating settings at all, it just stays on, even if I take the batteries out of the thermostat ...

Post subject: intergas eco rf 24 v rapid 25
PostPosted: Mon Oct 16, 2017 10:54 pm
the eco rf is supposed to be intergas's flagship model but imo the rapid is better in every way :huray:
comparing both boilers

rapid has :

much better flow rate
digital clock
proper analogue pressure gauge
built in expansion vessel
cheaper to buy
no need to connect prv to outside
central flue

I believe the heat exchanger, pcb, gas valve, fan's etc are pretty much the same ...

PostPosted: Mon Oct 16, 2017 1:11 pm
Hello all,

Looking for some assistance to fit a hive 1 to a Vokera Unica HE32. I did mine to a Baxi 105e but am struggling to see how this one wires up (it is for the daughter who inherited the boiler in a recent house purchase)

The Vokera wiring looks like this

And the Hive requires these connections (although in the 105 I only wired in heat on)

Post subject: Air to Air and UFH?
PostPosted: Mon Oct 16, 2017 10:02 am
In the new house we have a choice of heating systems, we can have a Pellet boiler semi self feed, we can have a Condensing gas boiler, or we can have Air to Air heat pumps. As we have a gas tank already buried, "unused" I said that we would have the G/C boiler, however I am having second thoughts, I don't want the Pellet boiler, so it could be the Air to Air, its ...

I have wet underfloor heating in my new extension and radiators in the rest of the house. In all there is 5 double panel radiators and 4 single panel ones.

There are two RF switches connected to the combi condensing boiler (vailant ecotec plus 838). There are two wireless thermostats. One is connected to the RF switch which controls the underfloor heating and the other is connected to the RF switch which controls the radiators. ...

Post subject: No pressure in combi boiler
PostPosted: Sat Oct 14, 2017 9:03 am

Anyway - I just had the place rewired throughout and when I moved back in, the boiler has no pressure so I have no heating. The pilot light is on and it still fires up and sounds perfectly normal.

At my last house, my landlord showed me which screw to turn to increase the ...
