Hi All,
sorry if this has been covered before or if I've put it in the wrong place I'm a newbie.
I'm about to take down my conservatory but can't work out how to remove the roof mullions. I've watched loads of youtube clips showing them being hammered on with a mallet but not how you get them off.
Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks

The area to be covered is 6'6" by 8'6", the required thickness is 6".
My fiance has decided to lay the base himself (dreading it), and went to order 22 bags (25kg) of concrete and 90 bags (25kg) of ballast, as advised by somebody who ...

Hi - I am new to this forum, so apologies if this post appears twice. I thought I posted a few hours ago but cant find it anywhere, so I assume it has crashed en route.
Anyhow, I just wanted to know from any expert out there whether or not all roofs are designed to be self supporting using the main joists (diagonals)
The reason is, the house I moved into is overly conservative on ...

Post subject: Mains sewer question Posted: Tue May 22, 2012 12:54 pm |

Hello
I've just heard through the grapevine that a planned village hall behind our house is having trouble connecting to the mains sewage, apparently it's going to cost them at least an extra £10k above whatever they have already budgeted, because of an issue connecting in the road.
Apart from a possible problem with achieving enough fall actually reaching our property, it would be very simple to connect to our drains, which coincidentally need re ...

My drive has been laid for almost two years now and has some cracks. These appeared soon after it was put down and are described as hairline cracks by the groundwork company who laid it. One crack in particular is wider and I would like to know what is the best way to deal with it. IT IS CONCRETE CONTAINING SOME SORT OF FIBRE WITH AN INDENTED COBBLED PATTERN. ...
