Post subject: Guild Power tools at Homebase
PostPosted: Thu Sep 29, 2016 8:16 am
Hi Guys,
Just wondered if the 'Guild' power tools at Homebase are any good?

I'm looking at

Shark Saw £22.93

http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk ... saw-464517

And

Reciprocating-Saw £24.23

http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk ... saw-464516

Not sure if 1 tool will do both, i.e. cut branches and with a different blade I guess general \ fine wood work.

Any Thoughts?

Thanks

Steve

I often see it reported that you cannot get spares for Erbauer. But your basic spares - carbon brushes and so forth are available from www.solenttools.co.uk (Solent Tools). I think they are basically compatible parts rather than replacement originals.

PostPosted: Tue Jul 19, 2016 8:42 pm
Bought a750w Erauber wet tile cutter to cut many 2" thick sandstone pavers; although i need to turn them over as the cutting height is 30mm only it has saved me a fortune on buying a devoted stone cutter. Its holding up well and seems like it will last out. Thermal cut out aswell to stop engine getting overheated. Just a mention as im well pleased with it.

Hello everyone

I decided i was going to do some routing on my guitar, and cant justify professional routers, even 2nd hand, so bought a used ( almost unused ) SIP 01478 1/2" router.

It came with 12 unused 8mm cutters, 4 smaller cutters, ... my digi verniers decided to go missing in my home just when i needed them so they could either be 6mm or 1/4" ..i dont know yet.

Along with the ...

PostPosted: Tue Apr 07, 2015 12:48 pm
I've bought many tools over the years, Having been a mechanic for over ten years I've spent more than my fair share on tools. One of my best investments recently has been this drill / driver set from screw fix. Currently at only £80, Its only their own Titan brand but for the money it is just really impressive. The drill is obviously not going to power through walls at only 10.8v but it does ...
