 Post subject: Bosch IXO
PostPosted: Mon Mar 19, 2018 12:40 pm
I know there was an old post on here about the Bosch IXO and whether it was being discontinued. I have just read a review of it here,Bosch Ixo it sounds like it could do a good job for either assembling flat pack furniture or basic tasks where an impact driver is an overkill. I have stripped a few screw heads with the impact driver and done by hand instead. But I thought this is ...

Post subject: Bosch "Pro" blue tools?
PostPosted: Tue Jan 23, 2018 11:48 am
Having spent nearly £700 on their six piece 18vt cordless set for delivery to my address in France, I was looking forward to my new christmas present, it arrived at the start of December and I unpacked and assembled it all, :huray: but this was short lived, all went well until the angle grinder, the safety guard would not fit, it didn't matter what I did it ...

Post subject: a bosch 10.8/12v router
PostPosted: Sun Jan 07, 2018 1:31 am
have run the router with a roundover with a querk
it worked faultlessly
decided today to go for 7mmx5.5mm rebate with a newish 2ah battery and it worked well on a 18" x12" on 3 sides
on the third corner where the load is more than doubled it "overloaded" for about 2 mins
now off course you can lightly rout out the corners where the load is 2 or ...

I have a Bosch PSB 1800 LI-2 since January 2017 bought on amazon. It started to doing something strange, it flashes all the 4 leds (3x battery level plus the lantern led) all at once, three times occasionally after press and hold the trigger, it does this on all the modes and forces and do nothing other than flashing the 3 times, after try pressing the trigger a few times it runs perfectly with ...

Post subject: Bosch 12 volt cordless planer (GHO 12V-20)
PostPosted: Sun Nov 12, 2017 11:56 am
Bosch have brought a new cordless planer onto the market in 12 volt form. Full 56mm width of cut, 2mm maximum depth of cut (optimum 1mm, though) and a brushless motor. Street price is looking to be under £180 bare (see here).

See here for the tool in use (sorry, in German):

In Germany they are apparently offering a set of the 12 volt planer, the 12 volt trimmer/router and 2 x 3Ah ...

Post subject: bosch 10.8v blue worklight
PostPosted: Fri Apr 29, 2016 11:57 pm
had it few days very impressed with the quality with the features and how long it lasts
if bright about a 40 or 60w old fashioned bulb has 2 power settings they seem to be about 15-20 percent duller but 55% more run time
it has a carabiners type loop
a magnetic in the carabiners base
a hanging loop and a great selection off angles

i have some figures but may have confused a 2.5ah ...

Post subject: Bosch GTS 10J Table saw
PostPosted: Fri Dec 25, 2015 5:46 am
I bought this table saw for use initially during my kitchen refit for cutting the end panels and filler pieces where required. I’m somewhat of a small child in a sweet shop when it comes to tools and by and large I’d rather pay a little extra for something of moderately decent quality, but not the high end. Most of my power tools are Bosch Blue simply due to good experience with others I’ve had ...

Post subject: Tool review Bosch GSA 1100 reciprocating saw
PostPosted: Mon Aug 24, 2015 1:53 pm
Bought one of these recently to help me remove old pews in a church. Thought I'd share my views on the tool.

Tool specs are here

Usual sturdy case is supplied. The case has a small section for storing blades that is a waste of time, every time I opened the case , the door of the compartment had opened and the blades were spread around the tool case. Not a major drame, really.

Out ...
