The monthly forum competitions are going to be put on hold for the foreseeable future.

The competitions have run every month for almost ten years, however due to several factors it is no longer possible to run the monthly competitions. The monthly competitions may return in the future and there will of course be special competitions from time to time.
The whole point of the competition was to give something back to the forum members; ...

Ten years of Ultimate Handyman

Ten years ago in November 2004 I registered the domain name http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk at the time I was working shifts in a chemical plant and had plenty of spare time on my hands. As a bit of a hobby I set up the site and wrote a few articles and then implemented the PHPBB forum, the site grew from nothing into what it ...

Obviously this company is desperate to part you from your cash, when looking for a Kitchen company ensure that the firm you use has a physical address and not just a website and telephone number.

Here are some pictures ...

 Post subject: TV program requests
PostPosted: Thu Oct 04, 2012 6:37 pm
DIY seems to be very popular among TV producers at the moment and every few weeks we get posts in the forum asking for people to get in touch to be considered for a TV program, some companies even email first to ask for permission.

To make things clear and to avoid any confusion here is the forum’s stance on TV programs-

You cannot post in the forum asking for participants in any way shape ...

Sadly dave.m passed away a couple of days ago, he finally lost his battle with Cancer on the 7th June 2012. My thoughts are with his wife( Susan ) and daughter ( Tracy ) and the rest of his family. Dave had been battling cancer for a couple of years and still used to come on here when he must of been feeling awful as he was pumped up with Chemo drugs for weeks at ...
