I have printed off some large photo's on my A3 printer and wish to frame them, but the ink used in household printers is not UV stable and so the ink will fade over time.
If I replace the glass with perspex will it prevent the ink from fading?
Cheers

Post subject: Cracked Shower tray Posted: Tue Oct 31, 2006 6:52 pm |

I have a crack in the floor of my shower tray in the static caravan that we are living in whilst doing our self build. I would reckon that replacing the tray (should I get one the right size) will be a pain.
I thought that I would maybe glue it just to get me through till the Spring. Is this feasible? What glue/repair might you recommend. Anyone any ideas?
Cheers

I have to cut a lot of 10mm thick polycarbonate into various sizes.
The edges need to be pretty straight aswell.
I know i can cut it with a jigsaw no problem, but i dont fancy cuttying it all with a jigsaw, any other suggestions?
How about a circular saw...maybe its a bit fast....?

Post subject: Bending Perspex/Acrylic Posted: Mon May 01, 2006 7:37 pm |

Chez,
I have read the bit about working with perspex...
Is it possible to bend it cold, 90deg bend with a 4mm internal radius without damaging?
Or would it need to be warmed? Im only talking about 3/4mm thick. Would that thickness be quite rigid over about 200mm?
