Post subject: How to remove protective film from shower panels
PostPosted: Fri Mar 18, 2016 3:19 pm
I've just realised after 5 years that my shower panels have protective film over them! (Often wondered why they would never wipe clean properly)

I've managed to remove a strip revealing the shiny surface below but the strip split and I now cannot find a new edge to remove the rest of it

Any ideas how I can get this off?

Didn't use the ping pong balls cut in half but did use your idea to put as many of them as I could under frosted polycarb and made them programmable. Thanks for the tip!

 Post subject: Polycarbonate decking roof
PostPosted: Wed Aug 06, 2014 8:42 am
I'm putting a new roof on the decking (4m x 4m) using 10mm twinwall poly and the appropriate glazing bars from 'The Polycarbonate Shop' online.

When I'm installing the poly into the glazing bars do I need to put anything like clear sealant or a petroleum jelly along the bars to help the seal? The glazing bars do have a rubber seal strip in them. is where I'm getting the materials from.

 Post subject: Thinning down acrylic?
PostPosted: Fri Mar 14, 2014 10:15 pm
Hey all, I make guitar picks from acrylic and would like to be able to thin it down somehow to be able to offer different gauges.
I tried it on the band facer but it was difficult to hold something so small up to it and it flew off never to be seen again!
Any ideas?

Post subject: Building a Acrylic Aquarium
PostPosted: Fri Feb 14, 2014 10:38 am
Hi Guys

I hope someone can point me in the correct direction. I have been researching what is needed to build a acrylic aquarium. Most of the DIY tips and info originate from the USA. There the predominant product used is Chemcast® GP. Do you know what the Perspex equivalent is here in the UK. Is there a specific product in the Perspex range to use for Aquarium building?

Thanks in advance for the help. ...

Post subject: Side lit frosted acrylic/perspex/polycarbonate ping pong tab
PostPosted: Wed Feb 27, 2013 8:32 pm
Hi, I'm an installation artist and I'm trying to work out the feasibility of constructing a frosted perspex ping pong table with side mounted inward facing LEDS (I'm aiming for the same effect you see in posh bars).

I was aiming to use an existing fold up ping pong table frame, these use two panels (that I would replace with the frosted acrylic) and have two supports for each panel that run parallel to the ...
