New years resolution, to kick the ball off mine is to use :thumbleft: more, but here is why.

A while ago, I found out there is a problem with some software on this PC. The only way to "solve" it I will have to format the HD

So sorry to all, but due to a software error I can not give a "thanks button" from me while I am using this pc, so please accept the :thumbleft: as a thanks from me.

So why wait until New Year to tell us this? Why not a year ago?

Didn't you say you had this problem on your last PC and then got a new laptop and said you had the same problem?

New year seemed to be a good time.

No, not quite.
This is the same pc now as I had then. The laptop I have (as I believe wine~O pointed out) is NOT high spec and I only use it for one (dull) thing, and its NOT surfing the web. I did try it, and hey presto, there is a thanks button, but its no use for "multi tasking" and for what I am using it for, I can't risk it going on the www.

Hi,

Thanks for letting us know s-e; looking forward to seeing lots of thumbs up from you in 2016. Here's one for you. :thumbleft: Splash out this year s-e and spoil yourself with a new PC then you can fully join in by using the thanks button?

Bron and I are looking forward to 2016 seeing this as a brand new start for us; My family have finally got all they can out of us with the sale of my mothers detached bungalow just over a year ago so assuming its gone through probate or other legal matters we are finally free of the vultures after 39 years of trouble from them; the lot of them wouldn't make a good one; every one of them is money and possessions driven. Any turning up or trying to contact us will now be immediately rejected. :pukeleft:

This also goes for people who mess us around; anyone causing us the slightest trouble in future will be history. :pukeleft:

Not the best story to start 2016 but it sure is welcome to us as we can now relax and move forward with a few very trusted friends. :thumbleft:

On a happy note I plan to spoil Bron as much and as often as I can because she's a gem. Projects are stacked up and I've got a whole garage full of toys to play with; everything is paid off and we have a lovely car and a lovely home. I'll add my projects onto UHM as they unfold and wish UHM members and staff a wonderful year ahead.

The big project planned for this year is to re-paint the bungalow exterior woodwork of which there is a lot; I always take about 6 weeks to do this taking my time to do the best job possible using the best materials with no expense spared; all the softwood window frames are over 50 years old being originals and by looking after them they look new. In anticipation I've already bought 15 yards of wide heavy PVC which I'll rig as an overhead canopy; every time I apply the last brush of gloss down comes the monsoon so this year I'll be painting the exterior under cover?

Bron kindly asked what she could buy me for Christmas but I've already got everything I need or even want so as they say in America I'll take a rain check. One thing I desperately need though is much better weather because 2015 was a total wash out here on the valley side causing me endless hassle and upset.

Here's hoping I can cut down on moaning about the dire weather this year; my fingers are crossed.

May the force be with you UHM in 2016. :salute:

Kind regards, Col.

Just because you keep saying it doesn't mean to say it's true.

Hi,

Buy a new computer s-e then this can be put to bed for the New Year? :thumbleft:

I've already had enough problems in my life without seeing problems on the forum. Is it really so hard for everyone to rub along together?

Kind regards, Col.
