We are starting to look around for a new free standing GAS cooker (500mm/50cm) our current Hotpoint is around 2 gas mark low and it doesn't seem to hold its temperature very well - looking at over £120 for a new main gas valve its 8 years old so it may not be worth the repair if it fixes it (gas has been drop and pressure tested and the supply is fine)

so what do you recommend ? Budget around £400

My brother is an RGI so no install issues
