Hi, I have a bungalow built in 1957 with a bedroom on the north facing aspect, as the colder weather is now upon us, mold has started to grow on the plaster around the double glazed window recess.
Additionally mold is also starting to appear on the wall just above the skirting board at an almost uniform height along the entire wall.
I remember years ago with regards the window mold it is possibly 'cold bridging', has anyone any thoughts on how to rectify this problem.
As for the wall, I am assuming it is a condensation problem and not a damp problem because it disappears in the warmer months. there is no cavity wall insulation and the flooring is of wooden beam and board construction with air space underneath.
Any thoughts on how to fix this problem?
Many thanks
KF

Try this for removing...

Then increase ventilation to the affected room if possible.
