Hi guys,

Have uninvited visitors last week in my lawn. Any ideas how to get rid of them without digging up and killing them?

Thanks,
Simon

Get a cat - I know you might not agree with killing them but cats are hunters and what they do is 'natural' to them and can't be condemned - even though they don't EAT moles they will kill them. Our two hunter-cats (our other two, we have four, are far too soft to get off their @rses to hunt) clear out our garden of moles in very short shrift.

Every time a mole hill shows, smack it down with a spade, and they run a mile. eventually.

There's normally a similar topic bar at the bottom that covers moles.

If you got the cement vibrator and stuck down the hole for a couple of hours they won't be back

I dont think there is much you can do without some digging. An old favourite is to put empty milk bottles in the hole and the noise from the wind passing over the neck of the bottle drives them away. You can get mole traps (not sure where from and if they are still legal though!)

I have seen a neighbour blasting mole hills with his shotgun but I doubt this is very effective
