Hi all,

I've just bought a house which was already fitted with a mixer shower (concealed piping)
but it wont turn off, luckily theres isolation valves fitted to the bath/shower feed so i can use water in the rest of my home,
this is how the prev owners were using the shower as i found a screwdriver under the already loose bath pannel!

unfortunatly the house was a reposession and was left empty for months, also they were kind enough to NOT leave any manuals for the appliances,
due to this i cant tell you the manufacturer of the shower, or ask them as i dont know who used to own the house.

ive taken the 1st basic parts of the mixer tap off, but now im stuck as to what to do next, or how to fix the probelm, ive attatched pics to show you what im upto,
please help as best you can
many thanks in advance.

i dont have any pics yet, ill have to take some propperly tomorrw,
but if u can use a bit of imagination
its chrome
with a white handle to turn it on & off, (it does move freely through 90 degrees, and feels like it is opening & closing the valve)
and a chrome tap on the front for temperature control that turns 360 + degrees
i looked for it on google images but no joy so heres my very poor attempt at a quick pick/drawing! lol

I could guess it's probably a cartridge type and that is where the problem is. You should contact Wickes and see if they have a manual you can post on the site for us.

I changed a cartridge on a Mira a few months back, it was not cheap at about £50, they are pretty easy to fit though!

ive managed to sort it (i think)

i turned the silver section clockwise and it stopped the flow, and now seems to be turning on & off ok with lever handle...

although it does seem to keep dripping so i think i need to tweak it that little bit more

i know these types of head do drip after use though dont they??
but this seems to drip constant n never stop.

Note:
Wickes technical help couldnt assist me but they told me it was a
"Diva / Deva" system.

If it drips all the time then it's letting by.

I'll do some research on Deva in a minute.

It looks to be the same as the Deva Regent or Georgian.

Again, You would be best to phone Deva, for advice, I would imagine you need a new cartridge.

If you need a phone number, I can do some more research.
