Anyone thinking of getting this one? £890 seems quite a lot for someone as stingy as myself.

Aldi got something similar on sale now for £79.99. If it's anything like the drywall sander they were selling last year then it will be a good one.

I've just seen one in action via Twitter. Now that is a proper bit of kit for ceilings and walls!

I don't mind the Deros for walls, but this looks like the beast for ceilings.

I've always fancied one of these giraffe sanders, and the swivel head system just makes so much sense. I have a funny feeling it won't interface with the 915 extractor though. Mirka is bad for employing end to end system compatibility, which limits older gear, but I may be wrong on this one.

I find problem with the Deros on ceilings is the dead man's switch, which makes you hold it a certain way, and also it's easy to put on uneven pressure, which when you're flatting down a misted ceiling, can take it straight back to bare in no time.

The larger disc size looks a winner, but as you say, you could have so many different mirka bits in your van there would be no room for anything else [WHITE SMILING FACE]
