One of the metal clips that holds the loose screw hole has snapped off so now the metal screw hole will not stay in place.

I've attached photos to make it clearer on what i mean - is there anything that can be done like gorilla glue or gripfill / sticks like s**t / araldite that will hold this little hole in place - i dont fancy tearing out the back box and replacing it with a new one.

Would a small screw from the left side through the lug and into the wall hold it in place - that's if the metal lug can be drilled.

Thanks

In my experience it'd be better to carefully remove and replace the back box. If you've got a multi cutter use that around the surface of the box to free it from the plaster. Watch for the cables / any spurs etc.
