Used to live in Thornaby myself (near the 'Spitty') - my mum and brothers still do.

Now I've gone via Tyneside, Kent, Glasgow and now Oban! Hopefully this is the last place I'll ever live.

:lol: as they indeed are.... it's just that we've searched for years for a place we would happily spend the rest of our lives and this is it. The attached pic shows the view (one of them) from our back garden.

@ Village - me, being a typical 'local', I haven't even visited it myself yet! Mrs k_e is always harping on, perhaps we'll do it soon.

Where in the 'Highlands' are you? Mrs k_e is from Kingussie.

The scrub land in the foreground and the scraggy outcrops in the background could surely be replaced by a Wimpey Housing estate :wink: :lol:

(BTW - nice view as much as I like Wimpey :thumbright: )
