hi there, new to these forums, great info

Quick question
I have been asked to wire an immerser on a megaflo, it was heated indirectly, which has now been removed, and the immerser was never connected.
They now want this connected, there is a isolater switch with 1 m of hr cable. Live and nutral will go to stat, there is no earth post, but there is a earth connection on immersion housing with a stud on the megaflo body, does the earth from the hr cable go to this stud ?

cheers
Andy

Same answer as the other thread, you need to be competent to work on an unvented cylinder.

All the earth connections must be linked back to the main earth supply.

The instructions are in the manual, if you want to be reckless and put the occupants at risk, I suggest you read it first.

If the spark has the G3 then he should be competent to do the work and certify it safe

Thanks people
Spark came, drilled out old stud and renewed, and also pointed out that there was no PRV on the cold supply to megaflo, plumber has now fixed that too

Cheers
