I need to install mechanical vents in both my bathroom and shower room, I can't wall mount the vents as the soffit (which also follows the line of the rafters so is angled) is too low. Because of the angle of the soffit and the fact that there is a wall plate in the way I can't soffit mount the exits.

My question is can I install one motor in the loft and run both vents to a roof mounted vent through the tiles (eternite slates) and if so how ?

Another option would be to drop the exit pipe into the airing cupboard and out through the side wall all within a 3m run start to finish.

What do you lot think ?

I hope you can make sense of my rambling.

Thanks for looking

The airing cupboard route is the one I would opt for. As you say, it's within the maximum 3m length recommended by most manufacturers. The roof tile route would be labour intensive and more expensive to get the same result. As a building maintenance person I have fitted a lot of these.

I think you can connect the two vent ducts using one of these-

and one of these in each piece of ducting-
