Hi Knowledgeable people!
I've just boarded out a whole room with Thermaline 35mm insulated plasterboard and need to put some mechanical fixing into the boards as well.
Whats the best way of doing this? The boards are onto brick walls, where I tried in one spot to drill through with a masonry bit the drill jumped as it went from board into the wall and made the hole in the board too big for the screwhead to take.
This was with pushing a plug into the hole and then screwing through, would frame fixings / hammer fixings be better?
Any guidance as to what I should be doing / tips?
Thanks, GM

Drill with a masonary dril and then screws with a washer. works all the time
so put the plug on the screw, tap in and screw

Use a percussion drill and not and sds. Slower but it won't jump.
Or put on so much weight, like me, that the drill doesn't jump.

Thanks for the tips guys, I thought about just using a washer but I was worried that it wouldn't plaster well if it didnt sit flush
Apart from being a bit pricey those drywall fixing amarg linked look pretty good, don't need many anyway so I've ordered some of them

The mechanical fixings in the video there are the ONLY things to use, I have done thousands of these boards and any other method is ridiculous. If you have dot and dabbed you only need say four per board for fire regulations. Get the steel ones and not the plastic, steel cost more but the plastic ones bend and you only get one in every three to fix properly.
