Hi

Due to an incident involving me and a ladder ::b , I have managed to yank the BT dropwire out. It went into a grey box on the wall of the house. There is then a white cable coming out of the grey box, going through the wall to an NTE box. The white cable has the orange and white wires connected to a connector strip in the grey box, and these two colours also go into the NTE box into terminals marked A abd B.

The problem I have is that simply reconnecting the dropwire by connecting the orange and white wires to the corresponding terminals so they align with the white cables white/orange wires, is just giving me an engaged tone!

How can I get this re-connected correctly?
